Heather Remley Appointed President and CEO of BASF Corporation

BASF Corporation has announced that Heather Remley will take on the role of President and CEO, effective April 1, 2025. As the leader of BASF Corporation, the largest affiliate of BASF SE, Remley will oversee operations for one of the world’s leading chemical companies.

Bringing a wealth of global leadership experience, Remley has held key positions across Europe and the United States since joining BASF in 2016. She most recently served as President of BASF’s Global Engineering Services division in Ludwigshafen, Germany, and previously held the role of Senior Vice President for BASF’s Petrochemicals business in North America, based in Houston, Texas.

“We are thrilled to welcome Heather back to the United States as President and CEO,” said Anup Kothari, Member of the Board of Executive Directors at BASF SE, responsible for North America. “Her extensive leadership experience and industry expertise will play a crucial role in supporting our global operating divisions and service units in the U.S., while fostering the company’s winning culture in alignment with our global Winning Ways strategy.”

A Pennsylvania native, Remley holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Lafayette College and a Master of Business Administration from Boston College.
