Amazon expands into Mexico with Amazon Business to support companies of all sizes

March 13, 2024

Amazon has expanded its business-to-business (B2B) offerings with the launch of Amazon Business in Mexico, reinforcing its commitment to supporting businesses of all sizes. This new B2B marketplace provides Mexican businesses with Amazon’s renowned selection, convenience, and value, along with exclusive features tailored to organizational procurement needs. These include business-only pricing, multi-user business accounts, and dedicated customer support. Mexico becomes the tenth country to welcome Amazon Business, joining markets like Canada, Germany, India, and the United States.

“We are excited to simplify procurement for Mexican businesses, enabling them to focus on their core priorities,” said Pedro Huerta, Amazon Mexico Country Manager. “We also aim to drive growth for small businesses, allowing third-party sellers to reach corporate buyers through our B2B marketplace.” Amazon Mexico currently supports nearly 18,000 domestic sellers, 99% of which are SMBs, offering over 3 million products and generating more than 57,000 jobs.

Amazon Business enhances business purchasing by providing exclusive deals, quantity discounts, and streamlined procurement solutions. Sellers gain access to Amazon’s e-commerce expertise, showcasing their entire product catalog to a wide network of business buyers.

“Expanding Amazon Business to Mexico strengthens our North American presence and supports the country’s 5 million SMBs,” Huerta added. “With tailored pricing, bulk discounts, and Amazon’s trusted shopping experience, we are empowering businesses to optimize their sourcing needs efficiently.”
